Skills / Background: From a young age I have always expressed myself in creative ways. I would fill my pockets with ‘pretty objects’ (more like garbage) for craft. I adored painting and creating things very early on in my life.
After finishing high school I went straight to art school for a year, before transferring to UNSW to study design where I majored in textile design and jewellery. My passion for pattern and textiles really came to light when I studied for 6 months at Ulster Uni in Northern Ireland. I spent most of my days drawing, creating collages and screen printing.
I have a number of creative outlets I enjoy doing in my spare time – sewing, drawing, Lino printing, jewellery making, to name a few. I love creating and learning new skills. I am constantly inspired by the world around me.
Favourite prints: I love the retro vibes of Florence Broadhurst’s Chinese Floral prints. I also love how fresh and lush Patricia Braune’s exotic paradise prints are.
