Fabrics For The Real World (FFRW) is a program Materialised developed to assist students and practitioners of Interior Design to better understand fabrics and their behaviour.
The program is presented by Gary Price, founder of Materialised, to a number of institutes, TAFE’S, Universities, Design Schools and Design Teams across Australia and New Zealand, often as part of the course curriculum.
The program deals with fibre performance, fabric construction, methods of adding design and colour, assessing test methods and results, maintenance, and sheds light on ecological sustainability.
FFRW can be presented in your place of choice or our factory, and usually runs for some 50 to 60 minutes ideally in groups of 10 or more. We equip attendees with references and an electronic workbook for future reference.
