As with any quality product, proper care and maintenance will extend the useful life of your window film and help maintain its original beauty and finish.

To clean digitally printed window films, follow these steps:

  1. Gentle Cleaning Solution: Prepare a mild cleaning solution by mixing warm water with a small amount of gentle dish soap or a mild detergent. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners such as Windex as they may damage the printed surface and can dull the gloss.
  2. Soft Cloth or Sponge: Dampen a soft, non-abrasive cloth or sponge with the cleaning solution. Ensure that the cloth is not too wet to prevent excessive moisture from seeping behind the film.
  3. Gently Wipe: Gently wipe the surface of the digitally printed window film with the damp cloth or sponge. Use light pressure to avoid damaging the printed design.
  4. Avoid Scrubbing: Do not scrub the window film vigorously, especially if the design is delicate or intricate. Scrubbing can cause the ink to fade or the film to peel off.
  5. Rinse with Clean Water: After cleaning, rinse the window film with clean water to remove any soap residue.
  6. Pat Dry: Use a dry, lint-free cloth to pat the window film dry. Avoid rubbing, as this can cause friction and potentially damage the printed surface.
  7. Regular Maintenance: Perform regular light cleaning to prevent dirt and dust build-up. This will help preserve the appearance of the digitally printed window film over time.
  8. Avoid Abrasive Materials: Avoid using abrasive materials such as scouring pads or abrasive cleaners, as they can scratch or damage the film.
  9. Test in an Inconspicuous Area: Before cleaning the entire surface, test the cleaning solution on a small, inconspicuous area of the window film to ensure compatibility and avoid any potential damage.

By following these steps and using gentle cleaning methods, you can effectively clean digitally printed window films without causing damage to the printed design or the film itself in an inconspicuous spot on the wall covering.
