Dhala-bu-nya – Cracks
ARTIST: Amanda Hinkelmann.
Born on Wiradjuri Land in Wagga Wagga, Amanda is an exceptionally passionate and talented Aboriginal artist who has been creating breathtaking original artworks from her studio under the moniker ‘Because of my Four’ for many years now. Amanda’s artworks share stories of resilience, strength, and the power of women. She draws inspiration from her hometown of Wagga Wagga, her family, and the Dreamtime.
A dark and moody contemporary Aboriginal artwork that features textural lines and segments in a colour palette of deep blue, green and mustard. After a long drought, the ground as desperate as it is for water, forebodes its penetration of such a vital life source, due to the absence of it when it was needed. This artwork is a metaphoric piece, representing the absence and support of people when it is needed most, and the reluctance to accept support when it is finally offered.
Currumbin

Dendrobium
A vintage nature illustration of a Dendrobium Orchid on a soft nude background.
Dark Bouquet
A moody photographic artwork of mauve, purple and burgundy toned Australian native florals against a black background.
Cockatoo Fanfare
The white cockatoo standing centre stage of this poster print almost looks a little shy to meet you, but the calming floral perch he sits atop offer such a relaxing feel that I am sure he will warm up soon.
Down by the Mangroves
An abstract painting of geometric shapes in yellow and blue and green tones.
