Innovation is in our blood here at Materialised, and we celebrate all those who pioneer the creation of novel new products and designs. So when we saw this new 3D fabric wall, we just had to share!
Architectural upholsterers who have been in the industry for 60 years, Improvision Design is a fellow family business, based in Bathurst, NSW. They service builders, architects and designers nationwide for health, hospitality, education and office projects.
Improvision has developed ways to provide complex stitching designs that are unachievable with a conventional sewing machine.
New to their range is VisionStitch which creates a stand-out 3D fabric finish, whilst retaining the comfort and purpose of traditional upholstery. It’s all made possible through their new CNC (Computer Numerical Control) stitching machine.
3D Fabric Wall
Surfaces are brought to life by stitching bespoke patterns and designs on seating, wall panels, bedheads, bar fronts, reception desks, ottomans, cushions, lift and lobby walls.
You can even design your own pattern or add your logo.
See how this technique looks using our Fineline fabric in Improvisions’ new studio.
