With aged Australians projected to reach 22% of the population by 2057 and Baby Boomers demanding aged care facility design to be contemporary, comfortable, technologically advanced and aesthetically pleasing it is no wonder we are seeing some incredible designs in this sector.
As cited in a recent report by Australian Design Review, the aim is to de-institutionalise aged care facilities, and banish the beige!
Enter BlueCross’s latest project, Cresthaven in Malvern East.
“Enjoy world class facilities in a warm and welcoming environment.”
BlueCross Cresthaven is a luxurious three-storey aged care residence in the heart of Malvern East. Opened in September 2019, this contemporary yet welcoming residence provides quality aged care to 103 people and features the latest advances in aged care technology.

Alyssa Collier of our Victorian team had the pleasure of working with Sora on the customisation of Bouquet and Artisan which were created using some inspirational landscape images provided by Sora. “They wanted to create a sophisticated colour palette for the area of Malvern, ensuring the function, design and aesthetics had continuity to the colour identification on each level and wing,” said Alyssa.
This was truly captured in this impressive fit-out and we are proud to have been involved.
