Person-centred design in an aged care facility emphasises the utmost importance of tailoring care to meet the unique needs and preferences of each resident. It encompasses a holistic approach that focuses on promoting wellbeing and maintaining the dignity of older adults.

The Anglicare Roden Cutler Lodge facility in Gordon creates an environment that fosters meaningful connections, respect, and autonomy for residents. The care team collaborates with residents and their families to develop personalised care plans that address their physical, emotional, and social needs.

The Result

“The end result is a stunning state-of-the-art aged care home where residents are thriving and loved ones are welcomed,” Royce Harris, Client Relations Executive, Crown Furniture.

This approach recognises and values the individuality of each resident, allowing them to actively participate in decision-making regarding their care, daily routines, and activities. By prioritising person-centred design, the aged care facility ensures that older adults receive compassionate and comprehensive support that enhances their quality of life and promotes a sense of purpose and belonging.
